Ainu
Language family: Isolated language
Geographical use: Hokkaido (northern Japan), on the Kurilen Islands and in southern Sachalin. It also used to be spoken on Honschu.
Information: There are around 16,000 speakers. Ainu is more and more being replaced by Japanese.
