Welcome to my personal language database. I created this web site primarily for myself but I saw no reason not to share it with the rest of the world.

The reason I made this web site is of course to have language information at hand, but also because I believed other sites to be either too specialist in nature and/or to contain too many errors (not that I presume this web site to be error free!).

This site is thus a one-man project. There is no editorial staff. I therefore always appreciate contributions, corrections, feedback.

You will find loads of internal and external links (the latter to be added gradually) which will make for fun browsing within the site. Unlike several other language sites, this site shows all languages in a very orderly manner with easy explanation and easy cross-references.

There are currently 1358 languages (and dialects) listed.
