As
from 1 October and for six weeks, 1395 kHz will again be used from the
Netherlands. No, not by the Big L (fat chance that they will ever
return).
The organisation behind Radio Waddenzee and Radio Seagull
has received a permit to test the frequency from their transmitting
ship. The power output will vary as will the location of the ship; the
idea is to find the location where the balance between transmitting
power (cost and possible inconvenience) and coverage is optimal. As it
is a test, there may be transmissions at a given time and nothing the
next.
The web site of Seagull will contain a ready-made form for reception reports. The web site is: http://www.radioseagull.nl
